District 4 is part of the General Service structure of Alcoholics Anonymous. It serves local AA groups by providing communication, resources, and support while helping connect them with Area 15 and the General Service Conference.

District 4 General Service serves as a link between local AA groups and the wider AA service structure. Through their General Service Representatives (GSRs), groups provide guidance and participate in district decisions. The district also shares information about district activities, Area 15 decisions, and AA service news from the U.S. and Canada through the Area 15 Delegate. In addition, District 4 coordinates service activities, conducts workshops, supports district committees, and helps carry the AA message throughout the district.

District 4 is on of the 20 districts that comprise Area 15 (South Florida Area). Each district is composed of "subdistricts", which are in turn composed on local AA groups. Each group may elect one GSR and each subdistrict is served by one DCM. AA members are encouraged to participate, especially General Service Representatives (GSRs), committee members, and trusted servants.
